But seriously, during the season that celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior some thousands of years ago to save you and I, ..this is all you are hearing about. It's about the child! You have to dig deep in the national stories to hear about a grandmother named Agnes who opens her doors to over 500 homeless children in Harlem that for one day they will have a home cooked meal and all year hand knitted scarfs and hats for each. It's about the child! How about the numerous communities who will rise up and provide for the children of soldiers who are currently serving our country all across this world! It's about the child! Or how about the local Memphis companies and families who each year give of themselves to make sure children from St. Jude and LeBonheur will have smiles on their faces if for just one day. Yes, it's about the child! The world will not stop worshiping it's idols but this season remind the children in your life it is about the child who was laid in a manger who deserved the finest linens in all the world. The child who grew up and lived a sinless life. Who healed the sick and made blind men to see! Died a horrific death on a cross for me and for you. Rose again on the third day! Hallelujah! It's about the child! How different would Jamie Spears' life be right now if someone had told her the greatest story ever told?
